A really getting into his workI was in another room when this parent-unprompted "music to my ears" started carrying on. Delicious!
We had our first warm day of Spring yesterday, and we put on our shorts for the first time this season. And what should happen on this first day? Two skinned knees. (P.S. No laughing at his black "church" socks, please.)

A run in the crisp winter air lulls them to sleep. Well, one of them anyway.Catch and ReleaseIf "purity" had a sound...
Nothing says "ready for a big boy bed" like A escaping from his crib. We had a couple of rough nights when A didn't want us to leave his room at bedtime. He would be fine when we put him in the crib, but as soon as we turned to leave, he would cry, climb out of his crib and walk out of his bedroom. The best part of this (if there is one) is the forethought he puts into the escape: he sends his "geggy" (blankie) over the railing first for easy retrieval once he himself makes it to the ground. For an idea of how long this went on in one night, replay this video 50 times. No kidding! Things are better: He has a big boy bed now and S stays with him until A falls asleep. This too shall pass, right? *No toddlers were injured in this filming.
Yesterday we got more snow, which meant more chances to build a snowman. At 10pm last night, Steve and his friend Matt built this gigantic snowman on the grounds of the middle school near our house. They made sure to take pictures of it right away, knowing that the next day, the middle school kids would knock it down. Little punks. Steve and Matt or the middle school kids? You be the judge.
