February "Flurry" of Activity
Going to a friend's house for some fun
A's First Sledding
And away they go...
Heading home for a nap and hot chocolate
Have warm, happy dreams, Li'l buddy.
Baby got Bach. We were waiting to move the piano back inside the house after the floors were done, but the frigid temperatures made us move it in earlier. It's up on blocks temporarily, the perfect height for our pint-sized pianist.

Austin Trip
We had a great time on our whirlwind trip to Austin, TX. There were good friends, a baptism, a 1st birthday, a half-marathon and lots of barbecue involved.

Andrew enjoyed the bird's eye view of Texas.

Daddy's turn to hold the boy

"What do you mean you don't serve a meal on the 4-hour plane ride to Austin?"

Megan is Godmother to Wendy and Pat's son, Luke Ryan.

The Baptism: Megan, Wendy, Luke, Pat and Godfather Dan, Pat's brother.

The Quinns and the Kretzings

Maggie Stewart turned 1 year old on January 30th. Happy Birthday, MGS!

The party-goers: a very, VERY young and hip crowd

Dad and son are pooped from the weekend's events.

bottom: Lily & Ella (Heather's girls), Owen & Ava (Liz's children), Marta (Shelly's other daughter)

As Blake gives him the Salt Lick pointer of "Don't fill up on the side dishes", Andrew chews on a leather handbag strap to get his gums in meat-eating ready form. Sorry, Nicole.

"Uncle" Jack makes the same funny face as Andrew.

Dad-to-be Chip (baby due July 2007) practices his baby-handling skills.

No photos were taken at the Capitol or by Stevie Ray or near Lake Travis, but we made sure to take one at the Salt Lick.

We had a great time catching up with the Fergusons: Chris, Sarah and Ryan.

Up, Up and Away
Working without a net and with only Mom's overly-cautious hand at the ready, Andrew makes his first attempt at climbing the stairs.
Finally! Snow that sticks!

Remodel - Round 2
Our next home projects are redoing the ceiling, walls and floor in the old dining room (and possibly turning it into a family room) and redoing the floors in the front living room/entryway.

Dining Room - before

Dining Room - new ceiling and new paint on the walls

Dining Room - ripping up the old carpet and tending to the wood floors beneath

The Motley Demo Crew

Living Room - clearing out all the furniture

You know what's more difficult than moving a baby grand piano? Nothin'.

Good strong work, Fellas!

Living Room / Entryway - removing the tile and backerboard

Living Room / Entryway - carpet and tile removed. Animals chillin'.
