Picture 4: Fun with Mommy

Carlisle Swim Club

We took Andrew to the pool for the first time last weekend, and he wasn't too wild about it. We'll try again another day. :)

Picture 1: Heading into the water, Andrew eyes it cautiously.
Picture 2: Don't be fooled: That's not a cry of joy.
Picture 3: Safe and dry on land with Grandma Jean
Picture 4: Chillin' at home with his Tiny Love homies. Andrew has what most women dream about for their own hair: lift at the roots!

Carlisle Summerfair 2006

Summerfair is a multi-day festival held over the July 4th weekend. There are parades, 5K/10K races, concerts, a fireworks display, Carlisle's version of Flugtag, and so much more. Lots of fun for everyone.

A Hug Makes It All Better

Andrew had his first little cold this past week, but even between the coughs and sneezes, he still gives us smiles and coos. A surprise hug from his friend Mr. Duck makes it all better too.

Swinging and Lounging

Picture 1: Daddy is being silly.
Picture 2: Thanks, Grandpa Brunner, for the nifty-neato swing. I love it!
Picture 3: Reggie lounging on the piano. He plays here seven nights a week.
Picture 4: Reggie waiting to make the great escape.

Perhaps We Should Have Named Him "Samson"

It seems the longer his hair grows, the stronger his legs become.

The cruel irony here being that Andrew's hair, though abundant and beautiful now, might suffer the same fate as that of his grandfathers' hair. There is no escape. It's on both sides of the family.

Sugar and Spice and Everything Nice

Andrew was quickly usurped as the youngest Kretzing cousin by Emily Louise Kretzing born May 31st. Emily raises the Kretzing grandchildren count to 20. The Brunners need to get on the ball to catch up. :)

Andrew Meets His Grandparents

Picture 1: Andrew working on his rolling over skills before Grandpa Brunner comes to visit
Picture 2: Andrew surrounded by his loving grandparents, Harold, Jean and Bob
Picture 3: Megan's Uncle Bernie, Aunt Karen and dad Bob are the first visitors to the new house. They made the journey from Michigan.
Picture 4: Andrew studying Grandma Jean's face and funny-sounding voice (She had laryngitis at the time.) Jean is the queen of extracting that one last burp from any baby.

Ellie and Andrew: Sunday's Child(ren)

Ellie and Andrew are birth month buddies, born just one week apart with Ellie as "the older woman". Before and after they were born, they ran and walked many miles around Town Lake with a little help from their mothers. May their little feet carry them just as far as their mom's have.
